Dig Safely New York, Inc. is celebrating 50-years of underground utility safety throughout 2019. As we reflect on five decades of progress, safety, and community, we are inviting classrooms across the state to look towards the future and envision the next 50-years. The students of today are the leaders of tomorrow, and we’re asking them to share their vision of what the world will look like 50-years from now. From architecture, and safety advancements to fashion and technology we want to see it all! Your Art Classroom has the opportunity to create the future and share what the year 2069 will look like through this life size poster contest.
The first 25 teachers to respond and build the project into their lesson plan will be entered into the contest. Each of the 25 entries will receive a $30 gift card to an art supplies store to help fuel the visions of the future.
There are 25 available contest spots. Art teachers must respond by Monday, August 12, 2019, by completing the online form at the web address listed below. After the final 25 participants have been select, they will be e-mailed additional information outlining rules, regulations, deadlines, examples and more.
A $30 gift card to an art supplies store will be sent to the school contest contact, including paid postage and shipping materials to return the completed projects. Art classrooms will have from Monday, September 9, 2019 through Thursday, October 31, 2019, to create their entry. All submissions are due no later than Friday, November 1, 2019.
